Smart-home decisions before drywall are ten times cheaper than after. Bring Earth's Material into the project at the design or MEP-shop-drawing stage so cabling, panel space, and gateway locations are correct from day one.
Panel and cabling brief
Reserve DIN space in the main and sub distribution boards for KNX or LifeSmart controllers. Pull neutrals to every switch box. Provide data cable to the main entertainment areas, gateway locations, and any wall panels.
Room-level planning
For each room, decide: how many scenes, what the wake and evening moods look like, curtain motor pathways, and where wall panels live. This becomes the commissioning script later.
Handover checklist
At handover, the owner should receive a labelled panel schedule, an app configuration, printed scene cards, and a support contact. Earth's Material provides all of the above as part of every new-build engagement.
